Can I list my home based business?
Yes. Home based businesses are welcome as long as the service is offered within the South Okanagan. Listings must include a phone number or website so users can contact you directly.

Why isn’t my town listed in a category?
Some categories only show businesses that have been submitted or verified. If your town seems under represented, you can suggest new listings through the Get in Touch page.

Can I request that my business information be updated?
Yes please! If your services or contact details change, you can request an update at any time through the Get in Touch page. Updates usually appear within a short time after submission.

How do paid upgrades work?
Paid upgrades appear in set areas of the directory such as the homepage banner, category top section, or featured listing area. These options highlight your business so users can find your listing more easily when browsing. See the Promote your Business page for more information, options, and pricing.

​What is included in the Homepage Banner option
The homepage banner places your business at the top of the directory’s main page. Only a limited number of banner spots are available at any time to keep the section clear and visible.

What is Category Top Placement
Category Top Placement displays your business at the top of your chosen category page. This section is fixed in position and provides steady visibility for users searching for services in that category.

What is a Featured Listing
Featured Listings appear in a designated section at the top of your category page. They include your regular business information but are visually highlighted so users can find your listing quickly.

What is the Local Spotlight Feature
The Local Spotlight Feature is a one time profile that shares your story, services, and a photo. It displays on the directory and can be shared on your social media for additional exposure.

Do I need a website to use these options
A website is helpful but not required. If your business does not have a website, basic website build or refresh services are available for purchase. See the Promote your Business page to help establish an online presence.

Are these paid options required to be listed
No. Basic listings are free. Paid options are completely optional and designed for businesses that want added visibility.

Can I remove my listing from the directory?
Yes. If you would prefer not to appear in the directory, you can request removal using the Get in Touch page.
